The annual “Party for a Cure” on Labor Day weekend has become one of the town’s best known events. This year’s party benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association is Sunday, Aug. 31, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Zandri's Stillwood Inn, Route 5, Wallingford. The buffet is out from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Open bar runs from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The fun continues until midnight. Along with entertainment, there is a live auction. Tickets are $45. Because Zandri’s donates the food and drink and their employees volunteer their time, every cent goes to MDA. I’ll be attending this year. Please say hello.
